01Overview
Sipra is a water tracker for Android: a daily goal, a log of the drinks you record, and optional reminders.
Everything it records is stored on your phone. The app doesn't request the Internet permission, so Android won't let it use the network, and there is no Sipra server that could receive your data. There is no account to sign up for either.
02What Sipra stores
Only what you enter or what your own use generates, all of it on the device:
- Username. The name you type during setup. It is only used to greet you inside the app.
- Goal and usual cup. Your daily target and the drink size behind the one-tap Add button.
- Water log. The amount and time of every drink you log. History and Statistics are built from it.
- Settings. Theme, whether the mascot's chat is on, and if you use reminders: on or off, start and end time, frequency, sound and vibration, and whether they are paused for today.
Sipra never reads your location, contacts or messages. It has no advertising ID, analytics or crash-reporting code, and nothing is sent off the device.
03Permissions
This version of Sipra asks for three permissions. It does not ask for camera, location, contacts, storage or the Internet.
- Notifications. Shows water reminders. Asked when you switch reminders on in Settings, never during setup. If you decline, the rest of the app still works.
- Run at startup. Lets the reminder schedule resume after the phone restarts. It has no prompt.
- Keep awake. Held for a moment while the home-screen widget refreshes, and while a reminder is being prepared. It has no prompt.
The home-screen widget needs no permission of its own. Some phones show their own "add shortcuts to home screen" question when you add it, which comes from the phone's launcher and not from Sipra.
04Where it lives
Your data is kept in a local database inside the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps can't read it.
Sipra does not opt out of Android's automatic backup. On a phone where that backup is switched on, Android itself may include the app's data in your personal Google account backup, as it does for many apps, and may restore it when you set up a new phone. Sipra doesn't control or receive that backup.
05Third parties
Sipra doesn't share, sell or transmit your data, and it contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries. That describes the app as it is today. If a future version changes how data is handled, for example by adding paid extras or syncing, this policy will be updated first (see Changes).
If you install through Google Play, Google handles the download and may collect install and crash statistics under your own device settings. Sipra doesn't receive any of that.
06Reminders and widget
Reminders are off by default. When on, they are scheduled on the phone with Android's alarm system, so nothing about your schedule or goal is sent anywhere. The buttons on a reminder add a drink to the same local log as the Add button inside the app. The picture of Sipi on the notification is drawn on your phone.
The home-screen widget reads today's total from that same local data and shows it on your home screen. Its buttons log a drink the same way. Nothing about the widget is sent anywhere.
07Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app, choose Delete Account and confirm. This erases your username, goal, cup size, reminder settings and every logged drink from the phone straight away.
The button says "account" for lack of a better word. There's no online account, so nothing is removed from anywhere else, because nothing was ever sent. Uninstalling the app removes its stored data too. A copy held in a Google backup (see Where it lives) is managed through your Google account.
08Health
Sipra is not a medical device. The suggested daily goal is a general figure for personal information. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent anything, and it may not suit you. Speak to a healthcare professional about how much to drink, particularly if you have a medical condition. The Terms cover this in more detail.
09Children
Sipra isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information about them. Because nothing leaves the device, nothing about any user is sent to the developer.
10Changes
If a future version changes how data is handled, for example by adding cloud sync or paid extras, this page will be updated and its effective date changed before that version is released, and the release notes will mention it.
