Indie Android app developer · Malawi

I’m Ryan, an indie developer, and I build apps that solve everyday problems

I make simple, friendly Android apps for everyday habits. Traka is a step tracker with a camera heart-rate check, and Sipra is a water tracker with gentle reminders. Easy to use, and fun to come back to.

About

An indie developer in Malawi.

I’m Ryan, an independent Android app developer based in Malawi. I make apps on my own, from the first idea to the Google Play listing, with one goal: make everyday life a little easier and a lot more fun.

So far that means two apps: Traka, a step tracker and heart rate app, and Sipra, a water tracker with reminders. Each has its own website with a privacy policy, terms of service and support page, and I read every email myself.

Questions

Good to know.

Who is Ryan?

Ryan is an independent Android app developer based in Malawi. Ryan designs, builds and publishes simple, friendly apps that make everyday life easier and more fun.

What apps does Ryan make?

Two so far. Traka is a step tracker that counts steps, times walks and runs, checks your pulse with the camera and rewards you with badges and streaks. Sipra is a water tracker with one-tap drink logging, optional reminders, a home screen widget and a friendly mascot called Sipi.

Are Traka and Sipra available on Google Play?

Traka is available on Google Play for Android. Sipra is coming soon to Google Play.

Do the apps need an account or an email address?

No. There is no sign-in, password or email address. Setup asks for a username and a few preferences, and they stay on your phone.

Where is my data stored?

On your phone. Neither app has a server or asks for the Internet permission, and neither contains ads or analytics. Traka opts out of Android’s backup. On phones where Android’s own Google backup is switched on, Sipra’s data may be included in your personal Google backup.

How can I get help or contact Ryan?
